Nam et ipsa scientia potestas est (And thus knowledge itself is power)
-- Sir Francis Bacon.

Scientia Pro Publica (Science for the People) is now available for your reading pleasure! This is the third edition of the blog carnival that celebrates the best science, nature and medical writing in the blogosphere. Be sure to visit and read it at Deep Thoughts and Silliness; Scientia Pro Publica 3: the Swine 'flu Edition.

To send your recently published (within the previous 60 days) non-spammy, non-woo, non-advertizing writings for potential inclusion in the next edition of Scientia Pro Publica, either use this automated submission form or use this handy-dandy little widget on the right (hopefully, it's still there -- it sometimes disappears when the mother site is feeling sick). Be sure to include the URL or "permalink", the title and a brief summary.

The host for the upcoming fourth edition is Eric, author of The Primate Diaries, which is scheduled to be published on Monday, 18 May 2009.

As always, I am seeking hosts for upcoming issues, so be sure to sign up here or leave a message in the comment thread at the actual carnival. I am also seeking your photoshop/artwork that we can use to advertise this carnival, and to decorate each issue of the carnival.
