Scientia Pro Publica 10 Now Available (yes, I am late posting this!)

Nam et ipsa scientia potestas est (And thus knowledge itself is power)
-- Sir Francis Bacon.

Scientia Pro Publica (Science for the People) blog carnival was just published! Sorry for the delay, but it experienced technical problems, and so I stepped in, and have not been very good about letting you know (it's not every day of the week when a grrl gets married!). This blog carnival celebrates the best science, nature and medical writing published in the blogosphere within the past 60 days.

To send your science, nature or medical writing to Scientia Pro Publica, either use this automated submission form or use the cute little widget on the right. Be sure to include the URL or "permalink", the essay title and, to make life easier for the host, please include a 2-3 sentence summary. Remember, this blog carnival focuses on communicating to the public, so your essays must be understandable to non-specialists. Further, this blog carnival is not a vehicle for transmitting pseudoscience or advertising to the public -- there are plenty of venues available for that.

The "Scientia Pro Publica 10, The Science, Nature and Medicine Blog Carnival" edition of Scientia Pro Publica is hosted by me, author of Living the Scientific Life (Scientist, Interrupted).

If you are interested in hosting this carnival on your blog, please contact me as soon as possible or notify the current host (please note that I prefer hosts who have had their writing included in one or more editions of this carnival). Scientia Pro Publica is published on the first and third Monday of each month, so feel free to choose a particular date, or I'll assign you the first available date.

Scientia Pro Publica (Science for the People) blog carnival is experiencing some technical issues so I've stepped in and will host it myself at Living the Scientific Life (Scientist, Interrupted), but that won't happen until tomorrow, unfortunately. Please accept my apologies for this inconvenience. Of course, this gives you more time to send me your submissions!
